To supercharge the launch of the 2026 Southampton Marathon, Rees Leisure wanted to harness the power of participant networks. With Let’s Do This, they didn’t just market an event - they built a community around it.
In the lead-up, participants were prompted to download the LDT app, where they were onboarded into local run clubs and introduced to other runners. These early connections helped create a vibrant Southampton network - one that extended across participants, spectators, and supporters.
Post-race, runners shared photos and stories through our race recap tool, which helped spark follow-on engagement and peer-to-peer marketing. Push notifications triggered at high moments - like crossing the finish line - encouraged participants to book next year’s race while the buzz was fresh.
